Previous page It's right there in our name, we make rug pads in America. In fact, we make the best rug pads out of the highest quality materials available and get them to you with exceptional service. That’s how we started, and that’s what we will continue to do. We're finding solutions for the challenges facing American manufacturing, and working with a team of the best individuals for the job. American Manufacturing 100% of our products are made in our own factories by American workers. Learn more about our products Pads for Every Rug and Floor No matter your floor and/or rug type, we've got the right pad for you. Our pads won't stain, strip, or mar your floors or finish. What makes our products unique? We manufacture, cut and ship all of our products here in the USA. That means we cut out all the middlemen (wholesalers, distributors, retailers) to deliver our customers a premium product while keeping costs down. Do I need a non-slip or cushion pad? Non-slip pads are best for high-traffic areas such as foyers and hallways, where rugs and runners are prone to slipping and sliding. Our cushion pads add a plush layer for large rugs already anchored by furniture, such as living and dining rooms. Sustainability in Practice We use sustainable sourcing, like using recycled felt that might otherwise end up in landfills and rubber from real rubber trees. Next page
DURABLE CUSHIONING - Pad contains 28oz of felt per square yard. Thickness is approximately 1/3" throughout (actual thickness may very slightly in production). Dense thick felt adds soundproofing and insulation. Non-abrasive to protect rugs and floors from scratches. Adds extra comfort underneath rugs without extra bulking.
MADE IN THE USA - 100% recycled felt needle-punched to prevent moisture buildup. Odorless, low VOC's, and hypoallergenic.
SAFE FOR FLOORS - Chemical and adhesive free. Will not stain, strip, or damage hard surface flooring. Safe to use with hardwood, laminate, stone, tile, radiant heat, concrete, bamboo, and more.
NOTE TO CUSTOMER - This is not a non-slip rug pad and will not prevent rugs from shifting. This pad should only be used with large rugs that are anchored down by furniture.
TOTAL SATISFACTION - If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us (via Message) and we will be happy to assist you.
My order arrived earlier as predicted, nice surprise. I got a very affordable and beautiful rug, but very thin. My rug is 6'7 x 9'3 (200cmx280cm). After reading all the reviews and didn't want to go through the cutting and I went for 1/3 thickness and 6'5 x 8'10 and it fits perfectly, no cutting required. Yes it cost me $10 more for this size, but worth it. It feels much softer, more cushiony now. It's elevate the rug and it looks right away more high end and luxury. I used the grip side for my rug and the soft side on the floor. Sliding is not an issue, since I have furniture on it. I could have gotten the 1/2 inch too... well I might still do that and switch this one to my Bedroom.Easy to unpack, trim and place, and feels great underfoot as I walk across my rug. Be sure to have plenty of new box cutter blades onhand. It is easy to cut along the length but going against the fiber grain at the end it is prone to cut ragged. It is soft and even unlike rubber padding. I bought this after I replaced my rug and saw indentations on my laminate floor from the rubber padding one I had before. Unrolls easily, and no smells. Happy with the purchase.rug was delivered with care as promised. Thickness was perfect for my application. Thick enough for comfort but thin enough to trim to size. Confident it will hold up under a kitchen runner.I didn’t know what I was missing! This made our flat thin 9x12 rug perfectly cushioned. Fits perfect and didn’t need to cut anything. My only issue may be using the robot vacuum. It might not be able to go from the hardwood over the raised rug. I’m sure it will flatten on the edges over time. The rug pad I received was well packaged and came sooner then expected. I needed to cut down 2 sides and had no problem doing so. It is a great pad for my area carpet!Great quality for the price. Felt on both sides too.I was very pleased that this pad was easy to lay under our new rug and fit perfectly! It really increased the softness when walking on our rug! After much research we purchased this 1/3" felt pad for our 8x10 low pile woven wool rug in the family room, and for under $100 it is excellent value. I was originally looking to purchase the slightly lower profile 1/4" Eco Plush rug which was $50 more. I called the manufacturer to understand the differences between the two products and was told it was the same material, only with the slight thickness difference. With young kids at home – a two year old and a newborn on the way – I wanted something non-toxic with no odour, something that wouldn't off gas much if anything. I had previously purchased a felt pad from a competitor that had latex rubber on the bottom. Despite trying to air it out for days, it had a strong chemical off-gas smell to it that wouldn't go away, so I returned it. The competitors pad was shipped completely folded which gave it a ton of creases and weak plastic packaging that arrived at my doorstep completely open to the elements. This rug shipped smart – completely rolled with only a single fold and thoroughly wrapped in plastic with an excellent seal. Night and day difference. Upon opening the package, there was absolutely no smell which was reassuring. I noticed on the label it was named as "Basics 100% Thick Felt" for those wondering.Although higher than we had planned at 1/3", once laid under the rug we're super happy with it. It offer just the right amount of softness under the feet and the extra thickness will give a bit more protection to the rug and floor over time. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. If you are placing this under a carpet that will be anchored down by furniture and don't need the non-slip rubber underneath, look no further you've found your product. We bought a mid-range rug that was soft to touch but not very plush to step on (a bit thin feeling underfoot). However, with the 1/3" rug pad it now feels plush and lovely. The 1/3" thickness was perfect for us. In fact I'm glad we didn't order the 1/2" thickness as it would have been too thick (I think the furniture would sink into the rug too much if we had chosen a thicker pad). The rug pad size matched exactly what we ordered (12 x 12 feet), so if you are ordering the exact same rug pad size as your rug, expect to trim the pad so that you have an inch or an inch-and-a-half of your rug hanging over the ends of the pad (this allows the rug to drop down after a day or two and hide the edges of the rug pad beneath). Recommend using fabric scissors to cut through the pad if you need to do any trimming (regular scissors could work too - but it takes much longer). One side of the pad seemed a bit grippier than the other, so we put the grippy side face up to grip the rug, and the super soft side down to protect our hardwood floors with satin finish. We're very pleased with this purchase.I've had many area rugs throughout my life, but never once bought into the underpad thing. But... I moved into a brand new condo, bought a inexpensive (but nice!) 8x10 rug for the living area, and thought, “this would be nice if it was a little cushier, and what if the rough backing wrecks the new flooring underneath?!”, so I went into researching rug pads. Because my carpet would be anchored by furniture, and slippage wasn’t a concern, apparently felt was the way to go. I saw this was considered “extra thick” and was concerned it would be too much, but went for it anyways. It was half the price of my rug, but this difference is fantastic. I’m very happy I bought it, and it makes my cheapo rug feel so much better and expensive. I’m hoping the edges of the rug will lay flat in a short time. I ended up trimming off one long strip to make it approx 2-3” smaller on all sides underneath my carpet. I’ve had less than 12 hours and already sent the link to one person saying they needed this for their rug!Bought this for my 7ft round shag like carpet and cut it down...but now know to buy carpet pads 1ft smaller to save money and avoid cutting! It was easy enough to cut though. It did not add noticeable cushion which is what I ultimately wanted, so would not buy again....would try a foam underlayment next time.I do like that the material is a natural fiber, and if you are only looking to add a bit of firmness to the carpet this product is great still.I and my wife expexted the carpet quite softer once this pad is placed underneath. We see almost if not at all a difference.Disappointed to be misled by all those positive comments. No point returning since about 70$ already paid for shipping. Would not bought if knew.We dont recommend and dont understand why not many buyer raised this same finding?
