As a graphic designer, the watch I wear makes a statement on many levels. Most watches I have come across sit somewhere between nice, but cluttered and expensive and simple, but cheap or poorly designed. After keeping an eye out for months, I stumbled upon the Slow watch, a perfect timepiece in my opinion. I was attracted to the vintage look, the strong geometry and the clean design. The watch has a nice weight and the quality, solid materials are revealed at a glance. It cost more than I usually spend on an every day carry watch, but I was ready for an upgrade. The 24 hour display is unique, however it takes a while to get used to. It's difficult to transition from a watch with a 12 hour display and second hand to a watch like this where you end up estimating the exact time with the quarter-hour marks. As near as I can tell, the watch has been accurate to the minute for months. The leather band is very nice, however, it takes some time to break in and it makes removing the watch slightly difficult. I think I would prefer the waterproof nylon NATO-style band. The watch is a great conversation starter and a bold statement piece in my EDC. I am very pleased with my purchase. I think it will have a place on my wrist for many years to come.
