36" Wide Self-Adhesive Craft Felt Fabric by The Yard - 2 Yards Long Apple Green Felt for DIY Projects, Scrapbooking & Home Decor

I have reviewed other colors before but if your looking for perfection (artist picky) as far as the texture and smoothness you will not be satisfied. I use it for bases on my wood carvings but the surface of the wood has to be sanded with 400 grit sandpaper to enable proper sticking of the felt. Peeling off the protective layer can be a painfull experience mentally speaking. Otherwise this product does what I want.JJKI bought this to line some drawers in equipment chests and found that once cut into shapes, the paper backing is bound to the adhesive along the cut edge and cannot be remove with fingernails, knives tools or even a hair dryer. I ended up lining the drawers with the paper packing still on the felt, not exactly what I wanted. Its easy enough to remove the backing before cutting, and I tried removing and replacing it first to see if that helped, but no luck. I tried a variety of cutting tools including high quality razor edge Fiskers sissors (which normally never touch paper of any sort) and nothing changed. The pressure of cutting seals the backing to the adhesive forever. It would be OK to use if there is always a factory edge left uncut, but my experience is that it's completely unsuitable for cutting into shapes.It’s a good quality material easy to cut and installI used it inside drawer for jewelry,Good stuff, however, trimming to a tight fitting edge is not easy...I ordered this product with the expectation (based on site claims) that it would arrive within two weeks. It took six. Not happy with that. I will look elsewhere for the next order.Built some box joint "book slip covers" for my special books and used this to line the inside of the wooden case I had built to better protect the books. Worked wonderfully.Sheds quite a bit out of the package, but a good low cost cabinet protector.After making many trips to local fabric/big box stores to buy high priced little squares of self sticking felt that looked unprofessional when pieced together, this giant roll of felt was a great find. Now I can seamlessly felt a project and get a smooth finished look.
